Who is eligible to register?
Currently the Moonfare ELTIF (European long term investment fund) strategy is only available for German residents through our German-language app. We are planning to launch in other European countries soon. Please note that we unfortunately cannot accept nationals from high risk countries or citizens or taxpayers of the United States of America who are resident in Germany.
What does the investment process look like?
Investing in the Moonfare's ELTIF strategy is simple. Here's a breakdown of the steps:
- Get the Moonfare app: Download it from the App Store and then complete the registration process.
- Build your knowledge: Dive into our articles to learn more about private equity and our ELTIF strategy. An essential step for every investor.
- Investor suitability check: Please complete the investor questionnaire to see if our ELTIF strategy fits your needs. This mandatory step evaluates your financial circumstances, investment experience and risk tolerance.
- Explore Moonfare's ELTIF strategy in more detail: Review the information thoroughly, examine the fund documentation and determine whether the fund aligns with your investment goals.
- Set your desired investment amount: Remember, the minimum for this investment is €10,000.
- Verify your identity: This simple step can be done easily through the app. Please have a valid photo ID to hand.
- Read and accept documents: We'll ask you to provide some personal and financial details, then read and accept the subscription documents.
- Wait to be accepted: Our team will conduct a detailed review, which may take a few weeks. Once the fund's board of directors approves you at the specified closing date, you will be officially invested in the fund.
- Start investing: After your acceptance, take the exciting step of transferring your investment amount, along with the one-time subscription fee. From this moment on, you're part of our investor community!
- Get quarterly reports: You'll start receiving updates on your investment from the first quarter after your initial investment.
- Distribution payouts: Depending on performance, we aim for you to receive distributions from the fifth or sixth year after the start of your investment.
Investing in Moonfare's ELTIF strategy can be a very good way to diversify your portfolio. However, you should consider such an investment carefully and plan it sufficiently.
What is the fee structure?
We charge a one-off subscription fee of 1% and an annual fee between 1.20% and 2.06% of your investment amount. The amount of the annual fee depends on your investment amount and the timing of your investment. The earlier you enter the fund, the higher the discount. You can find more information in the app.
Which taxes apply?
As a rule, in Germany a capital gains tax including the solidarity surcharge of 26.375% is levied on all income from your investment. We will send you an annual tax report detailing the tax status of your investment. For more information on tax, please contact a professional tax advisor.
Is the Moonfare ELTIF strategy only available via the mobile app?
Yes, the Moonfare app is currently the only way to access this investment opportunity.
Why can't I find the Moonfare app in the App Store?
