We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming webinar featuring Mike O’Sullivan, Moonfare’s Chief Economist. With a remarkable career spanning over two decades in global financial markets, Mike brings unparalleled expertise and insights.
In this session, we will explore the current technological revolution that promises to surpass the internet and the smartphone, a phenomenon Bill Gates calls “the lifetime chance of an entire generation.” Since the launch of ChatGPT by OpenAI in November 2022, the landscape of AI investment is evolving rapidly.
Is this all just hype or the dawn of a new era? Drawing parallels with the early 2000s internet bubble, we will provide insights into the future trajectory of AI, addressing whether we might see a similar pattern of euphoria followed by a period of stagnation before substantial growth.
So, join Moonfare’s Founder and Co-CEO, Dr Steffen Pauls, as he hosts this exciting Deal Talk episode.
Mike O’Sullivan is the Chief Economist at Moonfare and a Senior Adviser at WestExec. He also serves on the board of the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation. With twenty years of experience in global financial markets, he was most recently the Chief Investment Officer in the International Wealth Management Division of Credit Suisse, where he worked for twelve years.
Mike advises several asset management and fintech companies and is the author of "The Levelling," a book outlining what’s next in politics, economics, finance, and geopolitics in the post-globalization era. His recent works include co-authoring "L'Accord du Peuple" and producing the BBC 4 radio documentary "Waking up to World Debt."
He has contributed to the World Economic Forum's Council on the New Economy, Forbes, and TED Talk conferences, and has taught finance and economics at Oxford University and Princeton University. Mike studied in Cork and holds MPhil and DPhil degrees from Balliol College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar.
