Meet Nic Humphries

Nic is the Senior Partner and Executive Chairman of Hg, where he oversees strategy, management and governance.

He also leads the Saturn Fund, a large-cap EU buyout fund focused on software. The third vintage raised $11 billion, making it Europe's largest buyout fund of that year (Source: Private Equity Insights).

With a focus on large software investments, Nic specialises in mission-critical applications for professionals in accounting, compliance and design.

Beginning his career at 3i in 1990, Nic has over 30 years of experience in software and technology investing. Since joining Hg in 2001, he founded the software team and, as CEO from 2007 to 2017, played a key role in establishing Hg as one of Europe’s leading software investors.
